West Coast Projects: Success Stories

MILWAUKEE, WI (January 9, 2007) – Morris Material Handling has booked a number of new orders this past fall for customers on the west coast.

CMC Rebar of Fresno, CA, a manufacturer and distributor of rebar and other bar products is expanding their operations and requires new cranes for this facility. On order are two 100 ft span, CMAA Class D, multi-trolley, 10-ton cranes for handling bar products. This order includes Smartorque® variable frequency drives, mainline conductor and turnkey installation. Also on order is a 15-ton, 85 ft span, top running double girder crane. This crane will have dual 7.5-ton trolleys and will be used in the shipping and receiving area.

Another expansion, this time at the Hanson Pipe plant in Tacoma, WA, calls for two 80 ft span, CMAA Class D, 10-ton cranes. The crane order includes rail, mainline, Smartorque® variable frequency drives and compressors. Hanson is a repeat customer who continues to enjoy their working relationship with Morris Material Handling.

Also being built for Hanson Pipe, this time for a new plant in Sacramento, CA, are four P&H overhead cranes. Two cranes are 10-ton CMAA Class D cranes, and the other two are 20-ton and 40-ton CMAA Class E Cranes, each with 77 ft. spans.

A 12-ton, P&H overhead crane, has been ordered by Davis Wire of Irwindale, CA. This top running double girder cab operated crane has an integral lifting beam with four hooks and will be used in the dip tank area. Shipping is planned for February 2007.

These customers all chose P&H cranes for its overall product offering and reputation in the industry.
